The trip was much awaited its been a dream destination with lot of workouts in a short period . Decided to visit happening & comfy destination. Finally, selected Greece & Switzerland. Enough with the rambling shalu just get to the point. Alright! on today's blog I'm gonna talk about Greece (Athens,Mykonos & Santorini).

ATHENS

"From its days of glory to the hard times of demonstrations and tear gas,Like all big cities, Athens bears many faces: small corners with bars, classic taverns, crowd-filled streets, historic monuments, glamorous dining, and alternative haunts". Through its love and violence Athens filled with History.

First destination of course to the ACROPOLIS- Hilltop Temple Monument.

"The Greek had invented Democracy, Built the Acropolis and called it a day - David Sedaris".

I have grown up studying Stephenfry book so when i reached PARTHENON i felt I'm living within the book.

When your fiction turned into reality when you see a place which have been admired all along "The Greek Mythology" it was overwhelming.

Then we visited

Parthenon (Iconic 5th BC Athenian Temple Ruins) ,

Acropolis museum (Ancient artifacts in a contemporary venue) ,

Odeon of Herodes Atticus (concert theatre),

Temple of Hephaestus ( built in the Doric style out of marble with bas relief friezes)

Ancient Agora of Athens (Gathering place & museum )

every destination is a walking distance so it took us a whole noon and we covered it.Oops That's a lot of history...Next we visited "Family-run" small neighborhood villages..

FAMILY RUN -PLAKA:

After finishing historic sites we visited a beautiful small village neighborhood within the city a walking distance from Acropolis with cobble stone pavement suddenly felt like entered to the different destination .

The glamorous colorful lighting ,very happening crowd ,surrounded by local shops like jewelry, ceramics & cloth store etc.

Late night Tavernas (Restaurant) with candle light dinner ,tasting of local foods ,cafes everything looked very gorgeous with the lovely climate and very romantic. The whitewashed building gives a Greek island vibe.

MONASTIRAKI

Monastiraki Flea Market is a jumble of shops selling artisanal soaps, handmade sandals and souvenir best place to purchase for your loved ones and its a iconic landmark

Athens we spent just a single day , more than enough to cover the important destinations. Things we did in Athens.

MYKONOS

Next destination to the Pulchritude Mykonos . A ferry ride from Athens to Mykonos reached by noon.We stayed in a luxury hotel BOHEME Mykonos (Honeymoon Suite).Oops it was a honeymoon trip very late of me to inform. It was the best service ever received in a hotel

They are kind enough to explain and schedule our local must place to visit because it is a independent trip and we booked a bike via a hotel (international driving licence) is must .

SEA VIEW BALCONIES

The suite was adorned by us ,breathtaking sea view , Bed & Breakfast with delicious food, private jacuzzi , Birds chirping all over etc.

BED & BREAKFAST

Paradise BEACH

Google map was our savior. After freshen up it was like noon 4 we planned to hit a beach which is must destination in Mykonos. We visited Paradise & Super paradise Beach.With a world renowned DJ-s & Thumping music ,Dance floor with beach view and a cozy climate how romantic it can get more?

On the way we visited Ornos ,Psarou which was a luxury beach suite, we dived into it because its good place for swimming ,pretty much less crowded.

The sunset exactly at 8:05 P.M.

Our suite was city centre so almost every place we reach less than 20 mins. At night we planned to hit "THE LITTLE VENICE" -Mykonos,

requisite to visit in mykonos. I can't express how magnificence it was extremely at night .

The place packed with shopping hub, whitewashed building feel like entering into a secret path to Venice. Numerous cafe , restaurant , gelato & pastry corner get ready for real lovely aching of your legs & tummy.

At 12 the place get very happening ,the city is wide awake.That's the end of our first day in Mykonos.

Second day with a lovely bed and breakfast ,following half an hour drive to ANO MERA traditional village with souvenir shops & whitewashed building everything pretty much white .

Best place for photoshoot! because its less crowded Cape ARMENISTIS.

Then we visited AGIOS SOSTIS ,FTELIA a classy restaurants with beach view.

APPETIZERS TO DESSERT

Next we reached our suite took rest for half an hour then we visited the Famous landmark THE WINDMILL after a immense number of photoshoot , ended at CHORA to visit a 180 degree cocktail restaurant with a breathtaking view (note it again a must visit place to see a sunset)

Later, started walking in little venice its very huge place to roam around, tasted local foods "SOLVAKI" favourite and dinner at italian restaurant which was very delicious .We had proper dinner the way we should have right from appetizer to the dessert.

The final day at noon ferry ride to santorini ,Morning a leisure stay at our suite .Ohh god already I miss so much Mykonos whilst waiting to visit santorini.

SANTORINI

We checked-in SOPHIA LUXURY SUITES, Imerovigili. Gosh! the view was drop-dead gorgeous .

I cant express the glamor of it .Felt like I was in a movie.Yet again a marvelous service we quickly got ready and we visited FIRA this time we booked a 2 seated smart car and the place look almost like PLAKA but with stunning sea view.

We had our gelato finally! then we drive back to our suite we don't want to miss the Alluring sunset view.I reached room BOMBSHELL ! we had our private candle light dinner with a sunset view.

"Fairy tale do happen" sometimes.

Next day is a long day because we have lot of stuff to cover .We visited PYROGOS , MEGALACHORI ,KAMARI,EMPORIO its half an hour drive from our suite.

The place filled with white and blue buildings churches,cafe,souvenior shop preety much of it good for photo shoots its all small neighbourhood BEAUTIFUL AREAS.

Next, we hit on beaches Red beach (filled with red sand), White beach,Kamari ,Perissa ,Perivolos.

The perissa & perivolos are astonishing beach filled with restaurants near the beach and awesome place for swimming and chilling.

RED BEACH

We dived for a bit we were damn hungry lot of options for food finally we settled and tasted local foods.

Then we took a long drive to reach OIA a luxury shops filled in here .The typical santorini picture can be taken here with cobble stone pathway , whitewashed building , luxury brand stores .

This time we saw the sunset from OIA. But its nothing compared Sophia suite from my view. Then we had a long drive to our suite.

Hiring the car is best in santorini because its everything far and bike is not safety to drive around whilst the climate was also hot. So its smart to hire a car.

The last day we had our breakfast with god damn beautiful sea view by noon we went OIA again to see it in day light and we came back to our suite.I didnt feel like visiting other places because common our stay place was really an epitome of beauty & Nature .

By late evening weeping eyes said Good bye to Santorini.I cant stay here lifelong.The most beautiful place i ever seen in my life with my loved one. It was damn perfect.

TIPS:

- A comfortable shoe/sneaker is must for the trip , its sloppy in many areas very tough to walk in slippers or heels.

- Keeping up with Timing is very important "If its 5 its 5" ,during ferry ride if u reached bit earlier before exact time, u will get a better seats its "first come first served".

-When you hire a car or bike its better to get insurance for safety,Incase not your fault someone hit your bike or car you should pay for it, so don't mind dissipate some amount for insurance.

- Google map was our savior ,internet in your phone is very useful & needed.

- Keep ketchup sauce packets extra it will help u a lot.
